She’s an avid bioinformatician and has contributed to scientific research on pancreatic cancer. Allison believes that machine learning and AI can help scientists recognize ways in which viruses interact with our body and lead to cancer. Allison studied virology and immunology with the late Dr. Michael Oldstone, a world-renowned scientist andNational Academy of Sciences member, and in the process learned the true value of mentorship. Her research on cervical cancer utilizes machine learning and her scientific paper on the subject awaits publication. Allison is a founder of the Global HPV Vaccination Initiative, a non-profit dedicated to international youth cancer prevention, research, and advocacy and has led educational efforts on cancer prevention in several countries including Mexico and El Salvador.
